- Lunch During COVID
Lunch Program for 2021-2022
-
District 103 will continue to offer free lunch for all full day in person learners for the 2021-2022 academic school year. This free meal program – funded via federal COVID relief funds – will benefit many in the school community. Lunch will be offered free of charge to all enrolled students on school service days only. Please note that the district will no longer offer a remote lunch pick up service since all the meals will be consumed on site. Teachers will ask students daily for their lunch preference.
Sprague: Full Day Kindergarten through second-grade students will have a 30 minute lunch and a 30 minute recess. Lunch will be eaten in the classroom. In the event of indoor recess, we ask that parents pack a bag of individual toys in a gallon size ziploc bag for their child.
Half Day: Students will have a 30 minute lunch and 30 minute recess daily. Lunch will be eaten in the classroom. Students will have recess daily. Students will be able to use the blacktop, playground equipment, and field areas outdoors on a rotating basis. In the event of indoor recess, we ask that parents help their child pack a bag of individual toys in a gallon size ziploc bag to leave at school.
Daniel Wright: Because entire grade levels of students can not be safely distanced in the cafeteria, students will rotate between eating in classrooms and the cafeteria. Students are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle to school because fountains will be disabled from direct drinking.
Quest Food Service, D103’s meal service provider, will offer an array of fruits, vegetables, grains, milk and protein.
