Robotics Club

Purpose of the Activity

  • To provide an opportunity for sixth-graders to develop their spatial and programming skills in a non-competitive environment. Students will build and program Lego Mindstorms robots.

Tryout Procedures

  • There are no try outs for this club. Make sure you have a permission to participate form on file with the club sponsor or coach otherwise you will not be able to particpate in the program. 

Number of Participants

  • The number of participants is limited to 24 students.

Grade Level/s of Participants

  • The club is open to sixth-graders.

Meeting Schedule and Location

    • Season: October through March
    • Meeting Day: Wednesday  
    • Time: 3:45 p.m. 
    • Location: Classroom 110
    • IESA State Chess Tournament in February for those who qualify

Student Attendance Guidelines

  • Attendance is important as students will be working to build and program their robots. No refunds will be issued for missed meetings.
