Student Council

Purpose of the Activity

  • The Student Council is an extracurricular activity open to all Daniel Wright students. Student leadership development is the process of involving students in meaningful ways both in and beyond the classroom. It is providing opportunities for students to demonstrate their talents, skills, and interests while continuing to develop leadership skills.

Tryout Procedures

  • There are no tryouts. Make sure you have a permission to participate form on file with the club sponsor or coach otherwise you will not be able to participate. 

Number of Participants

  • There is no limit on the number of students who may participate.

Grade Level/s of Participants

  • Student Council is open to sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-graders.

Meeting Schedule and Location

    • Season: October through May
    • Meeting Day: Thursday (typically twice a month)
    • Time: 3:45 p.m.
    • Location: TBD

Student Attendance Guidelines

  • Students are expected to attend at least one meeting a month.
