District 103 employs 508 staff, including full-time and part-time teachers, support staff, bus drivers, 103 Club supervisors, and substitute teachers in its preschool through eighth-grade district. Of the teachers working in the district's three schools, 90 percent hold a master's degree or higher and 99 percent of teachers are rated as proficient or excellent. Each of the three schools has received national recognition for excellence in education through the U.S. Department of Education's Blue Ribbon Schools Program. In all, the D103 schools have received nine blue ribbon awards since 1986.

Six staff members have achieved National Board Certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. It is the most respected professional certification available in K-12 education. One D103 teacher has been recognized for excellence in teaching. The Golden Apple award recognizes exemplary school leaders in Illinois.
