Medical and Dental Insurance

The District offers health insurance coverage to employees through:

Employee Assistance Program


The District provides all staff with access to a full-service employee assistant program managed by Perspectives, Ltd. If you or a family member is struggling with problems such as relationship issues, job stress, depression, anxiety, financial issues, substance abuse, or grief, just call the EAP to make an appointment to speak with a counselor. The EAP is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day toll free at (800) 456-6327. Your calls are strictly confidential. You can visit the EAP website for more information.

Wellness Benefits


Flu Shot and Health Screening: Each fall, the District offers a free flu shot and comprehensive health screening to all staff members and other covered family members over age 18. Human Resource will an email to all staff when registration opens.  Please visit the Empower Health Services to register.  Please use this Client Code lpv103.  Thank you!

MDLive

District 103 offers a unique benefit to staff and dependents to help them get care they need, anywhere. MDLive is a service that allows you to be connected with a U.S. board-certified physician in minutes, anytime, from anywhere you have a phone or video-enabled device. MDLive doctors provide quality care for non-emergency health issues through phone or video consult. Common issues MDLive physicians treat include:

  • Respiratory infection
  • Allergies
  • Bronchitis
  • Cold and flu symptoms
  • Skin problems
  • Sinus problems

Life & Disability Insurance

The District provides basic life insurance to all benefit eligible employees, as well as,  long-term disability to our Certified staff. Employees also can purchase additional, affordable term voluntary life insurance.

Prescriptions

Express Scripts administers prescription benefits for the PPO 750 and PPO 2500 plans. Prescriptions can be purchased through your local pharmacy or through mail order. Prescription co-pays range from $10.00 - $50.00 depending on your prescription and/or plan. Prime Therapeutics is the plan administrator for prescription beneifts for the HDHP 1500 with HSA and HMO plan. Please refer to the Benefit Summary Booklet for co-pay or member responsibility. Additional information regarding your prescription coverage through Prime Therapeutics can be accessed through the Blue Access for Members (BAM) portal. or call (800) 423-1973.
