Summer School Information

Summer School 2024

  • The enrichment program for kindergarten through seventh-grade is held at Daniel Wright Junior High School.

    DATES:
    Monday, June 10 through Wednesday, July 3  
    Classes will be in session Monday – Friday
    (No classes on June 19) 

    • Students enroll in classes for the grade level most recently completed.
    • Students must register for periods 1 & 2, periods 3 & 4, or periods 1-4.
    • Students can only leave after period 2 (parent/guardian transportation only) or after period 4.
      • This does not apply to ESY students.
    • Classes per period are preliminary and will be based on enrollment.
    • An $80.00 registration fee is collected for each course.
    • Some courses have additional material fees.
    • K-7 Enrichment, Intervention, Extended School Year (ESY), and Guided summer school programs will be held at Daniel Wright from Monday, June 10, through Wednesday, July 3.  
    • There will be no class on June 19 in honor of Juneteenth.
    • K-2 Early Childhood & IIP and Guided will be in-person at Laura B. Sprague School from Monday, June 10, through Wednesday, July 3.  
    • Guided Program (special education, per the IEP) is a specialized academic/life skills program for students with multiple disabilities. Students also receive related services in Speech/Language, OT/PT, and Social Work.  
    • Early Childhood (EC) and the K/2 IIP Program will be held at Sprague School. The programs will be held in person and is a classroom(s) of students with special needs whose IEP team recommends Extended School Year.  
    • A separate Multilingual (ML) Jumpstart Program will be held in August. ML Teachers will be sharing more information regarding the Multilingual Jumpstart Program. ALL Multilingual students are encouraged to participate in D103 Enrichment Summer School.  
    • Students must meet the criteria to be eligible for the (ESY) Extended School Year Program (special education, per the IEP).
    • Math and Reading Intervention (remedial) courses are open to all students.  A formal invitation is not needed for a student to register for one of these intervention courses. However, teachers may encourage a student to attend. Students will pay the same fee for these intervention courses as other summer school classes.
