The Board of Education for Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District 103 announces the appointment of Mrs. Malathy Dwaraknath as a new member of the Board. She was seated at the Board of Education meeting on Monday, July 13, 2015, and the appointment has filled the vacancy created by the departure of Ben Yomtoob.

The press release notes the Board of Education was particularly impressed by Mrs. Dwaraknath's ability as a human resources professional to bring people together around a common goal. This will be an invaluable addition to the Board, as the District tackles important goals identified in Vision 2020. In addition, her international experience with the educational culture and systems in India, Singapore and the United States will bring a new and important perspective to the District 103 Board of Education.
Upon her appointment to the Board, Mrs. Dwaraknath stated, "I am honored to be given this opportunity, and I am very excited to join a very talented and experienced team of individuals on the Board. I look forward to working with all the stakeholders of the school district to accomplish our goals identified in Vision 2020." Malathy Dwaraknath is married to Bala Ambravan and has two children. Bala is an entrepreneur and has also played significant roles in the past in serving the educational needs of middle school children in his community.
