After School Clubs & Activities About to Begin
Daniel Wright offers over 25 clubs and activities in which students are encouraged to participate. Some extracurricular activities are competitive in nature and require students to tryout for the club. Other activities are meant for student enrichment and are open to all students depending on space.
Registration begins at 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4. Please register on the RevTrak Web Store. Classes begin in January.
Art Club: Students in grades seven and eight are invited to explore new media and materials in creating self-directed projects.
Chess Team: The Chess Team provides an opportunity for students to socialize, learn the game of chess and compete against others.
Diversity Book Club: If you love a good book then join the Diversity Book Club and discuss a variety of great books throughout the school year. The club meets during seventh-grade FLEX and eighth-grade lunch.
Fiber Arts Club (formerly known as Sewing and Knitting Club): Fiber Arts for grades six, seven, and eight includes but is not limited to: sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, felting, and weaving.
Flute Choir: Flute Choir is an all flute ensemble open to any flute player with a least one year of playing experience.
Improvisation: Students in grades six, seven, and eight are invited to participate in a form of live theater, which the plot, characters, and dialogue of a game, scene, or story are made up in the moment.
Rubik’s Cube: Students in grades six, seven, and eight who enjoy cubing will enjoy learning moves to master challenging puzzles.
STEAM Club: The seventh- and eighth-grade STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) Club provides members with an understanding and hands-on experience with STEAM topics.
