Author Jennifer Nielsen met with Daniel Wright students last week sharing lively stories and tools of the trade during presentations, interviews with students, and a writer’s workshop. Mrs. Nielsen also met with a student book club that read her latest novel, "Lines of Courage." Mrs. Nielsen writes young adult fiction. DW students had their favorite Nielsen book signed by the author while others re-created posters of the author’s book covers.

“Jennifer Nielsen’s authentic interest in student success with writing and reading was tremendously apparent throughout the day. Student interviewers, artists, book club members, writing workshop participants, and large group listeners all responded with enthusiasm and excitement to read her next book or begin to write their own first novel. It was an incredible experience; one of the best author visits we have ever had at DW,” said Tabatha Otto, Library Media Specialist.
