District 103 held the first of six meetings on Sunday, November 3 with our Vision 2025 Committee, which is an intricate part of our Strategic Planning process. A diverse group of 58 members including students, parents and staff discussed 13 landscape shifts (including demographics, pace of change, changing economies, information explosion) occurring in our society that impacts our lives. Members were asked to indicate how important these shifts are for our students, the results of which will set the stage for our second meeting in December. At the conclusion of this process, the Vision 2025 Committee will have identified the competencies (characteristics and skills) our students need to be successful in our society. The committee is helping to provide a strategic framework for our district for the next five years.
