Travel During COVID
Traveling for work, pleasure, or family events may create an opportunity to contract COVID-19 and transmit it to others when you return. In order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we are asking families who have recently traveled to follow these procedures prior to your child attending school:
-
Have your child tested for COVID-19 with an RT-PCR test. Tests are widely available through CVS, Walgreens, your personal physician, or a Lake County testing site
-
Do not send your child to school until you receive a negative result
-
Share the results with school and your physician
-
If you or your child exhibit any COVID-19 symptom, please contact your personal physician for further instructions.
As a reminder, by sending your child to school each day, you are certifying that your child does not have any COVID-19 symptom:
-
Fever or chills
-
Cough
-
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
-
Fatigue
-
Muscle or body aches
-
Headache
-
New loss of taste or smell
-
Sore throat
-
Congestion or runny nose
-
Nausea or vomiting
-
Diarrhea
Our goal is to maintain a COVID-19 free environment at school. By avoiding risky behaviors and following the three W's - 1. Wear a mask, 2. Wash your hands, 3. Watch your distance, we can reduce the risk of COVID-19 in our schools and keep them open for our children.
