Checklist for COVID Symptoms

Please make sure you are doing health checks on your child before sending them to school in the morning.
  1. Make sure they have properly-fitting masks to wear while at school (we are requesting that the students have a minimum of 4 masks)
  2. Check for signs or symptoms of COVID before they leave the house.
    1. COVID-19 Checklist & 3~W’s: We ask for parents' partnership during this unprecedented time. For the safety of our students and staff, we request that parents review the COVID-19 symptom checklist prior to coming to school. If your child has any of the following symptoms, your child must be kept home. Please refer to Superintendent’s Scott Warren’s letter on travel.

        • Fever or chills

        • Cough

        • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

        • Fatigue

        • Muscle or body aches

        • Headache

        • New loss of taste or smell

        • Sore throat

        • Congestion or runny nose

        • Nausea or vomiting

        • Diarrhea

It is important to know that even if your student is asymptomatic in the morning, should your student begin to exhibit or report signs or symptoms of COVID-19 while at school, the IDPH guidance at this time is that the student be sent home.  While many of the signs and symptoms of COVID-19 can be attributed to a multitude of other non-COVID-19 conditions (dehydration, allergies, indigestion, etc...), due to the current rates in Lake County we need to remain extra cautious and continue to follow the IDPH COVID-19 Interim Exclusion Guidance at this time so that we can keep the schools open in a safe manner for students and staff.
