Dot Day

Sprague classrooms engaged in International Dot Day, mirroring the book, “the Dot,” by Peter H. Reynolds. In his book, Reynolds entices “even the stubbornly uncreative among us to make a mark — and follow where it takes us.” Sprague staff encouraged students to express their creativity through math, technology and art activities.

“Removing the stressors of “standard” academics allows students to just take a chance and see what they are capable to create. When a student can start believing they can create, this belief in themselves eventually transfers to all areas of life!” said teacher Rachel Chiesa, whose class participated in Dot Day.
