School Receives $5,000 in Robot Kits

On behalf of Thomas O’Donnell, Peter Taylor and the entire ECMC Foundation, Sprauge School has been awarded a gift in the amount of $5,000 to purchase Kibo and Dash robots and accessories for design and engineering projects to further STEM related learning.

"These robots will allow us to expose our kindergarten students to the fundamental concepts of computer science and computational thinking. The robots are screen-free and encourage the students to work together to create solutions to authentic problems. Best of all, they’re a lot of fun! They encourage the students to openly explore computer science and other STEM concepts in a creative and playful way," said Simon Vasey, instructional technology coach.
