Girls on the Run

Close to 50 students at Half Day participated in Girls on the Run, which included both in-person and remote learners.

“Girls On The Run is a physical activity-based youth development program that inspires third through fifth-graders to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which integrates running,” said Jen Prosk who oversaw the Half Day program with Katie Tantillo .

Some of the lessons taught over the 8-week program included Positive Self-Talk, Finding Balance, Empathy, Making and Being Friends, Communicating with Others, Working as a Team, Compromise, Gratitude, and Recognizing our Strengths.
