Learning Entrepreneurial Skills
The Student Council raised about $700 from a school store students operated where they sold erasers, pencils, bracelets, and more.
The school store was made possible through a PTO Links to Learning grant that allowed the school to purchase the goods. Proceeds from the sale will go toward a school purchase.
“The school store offered more than school supplies. The students were actually learning business, financial, and entrepreneurial skills. Students were involved in every aspect of the decision-making process from ordering inventory to marketing, packing, and delivering orders,” said Tracy Gordon, who sponsored the activity with Sharyn Powell.
