During a given school year, only students in grades one, three and five will take the CogAT (as well as any new students in grades two, four, six, seven and eight).

• Students in grade grade one (and new students in grade two) will test in December
• Students in grades three and five (and new students in grades four, six, seven, and eight) will test in October
