Asthma

All students with a diagnosis of asthma are recommended to have a rescue inhaler at school in case of emergency. There are two options available:

1) A rescue inhaler can be kept in the health office. A medication authorization form must be filled out.
2) Your child can self-carry the rescue inhaler. In order for your child to do so, the Parent Agreement for Child to Carry Asthma Inhaler must be returned to the health office with a copy of the prescription label.

In addition, all students with asthma are recommended to have an Asthma Action Plan filled out by their doctors and submitted to the health office yearly. See the Asthma Action Plan Below.
