SCHOOL EVENTS 
7th and 8th graders were invited to read The Parker Inheritance. The book talk is today at 12:21 (7th flex and 8th lunch). Students who checked out a book from Mrs. Vincent received an email invitation, but anyone who read the book is welcome.  If you are eligible to attend, please come to room 211 at 12:21. 7th graders will return to FLEX before its conclusion.

*Attention all 6th grade students:  Author J.A. White is coming to D.W!! On Thursday, October 3, 2019, author J.A. White is visiting Daniel Wright JHS to share information about reading, writing, research, being an author and so much more! To preorder signed, personalized copies of his two most recent novels, use to Rev Trak, "Other Purchases" on the DW website. Orders MUST be in by midnight of Thursday, September 26th. Order today, don't delay!

Appelley Publishing is sponsoring a poetry contest for middle school students.  It is free to enter. The winner will receive $500! If you are interested, ask your ELA teacher for more information. 

AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
*Are you looking for some extra help with homework after school? The Peer Tutors from Stevenson High School will be offering tutoring and homework help every day, Monday through Thursday during PASS, beginning at 4 pm. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to get that extra help!
